Cloud Computing has aroused an increasing interest within the software industry due to the simplification of companies and savings regarding the costs related to information and communication technologies.
However, Cloud Computing trends have been growing without clear standardization criteria.
The project, Network Architecture In Cloud Computing To Offer Infrastructure As A Service (IaaS), was developed at Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana, in which a network topology was implemented through the Eucalyptus platform, which allows management and execution of virtual machines. Based on the aforementioned project, this research was developed by using two major technologies of cloud computing currently in use: OwnCloud platform and Eucalyptus platform. This study provides packet traffic analysis over the network of a Cloud Computing system to identify the different protocols used for communication.
It also provides an update of the new technological resources implementation. In order to perform these tasks, a brief state of the art was made regarding cloud computing systems’ standardization. Also, an initial study of protocols used in different cloud systems was performed from several manufacturers. Our study allowed us to understand the communication network’s behavior in Cloud Computing environments.
This document includes tutorials and methods for installation and set-up for cloud computing systems.
